High Speed Data Processing

High speed data processing

Effective high speed data processing requires more than a fast processor. Data acquisition, interfaces, memory and processing resources must all provide enough bandwidth to keep the complete data path moving.

TOPIC designs these elements as one architecture, preventing bottlenecks from shifting from one part of the system to another.

Keeping data moving

High-speed interfaces such as PCIe and Ethernet can transport large amounts of data, but bandwidth alone does not guarantee performance.

Memory access, buffering and processing latency all determine how quickly data can move through the system.

TOPIC uses high-speed interconnects and board-level simulation to create reliable data paths for demanding embedded applications.

Sustainability

Processing in parallel

Sequential processing can become a limitation when data rates continue to increase.

FPGA technology enables multiple operations and data streams to be processed in parallel, while processors handle control and more dynamic workloads.

This combination allows TOPIC to accelerate signal processing and distribute workloads efficiently across the system.

TOPIC - Industry

Designing for high-speed performance

At very high data rates, processing performance cannot be separated from the hardware around it. Signal integrity, memory bandwidth, power delivery and thermal behaviour all influence achievable throughput.

By combining board development, FPGA and embedded software expertise, TOPIC creates high speed data processing architectures designed around the complete data flow rather than processing power alone.
