On July 1, 2 and 3, the FPGA conference in München takes place again. A leading specialist conference for programmable logic devices. The conference focuses on user-oriented, practically applicable solutions that developers can quickly integrate into their own everyday work. From TOPIC, Niek van Agt will present at the conference about Breaking the Electron-Photon Barrier Using FPGA technology.
Presentation: Breaking the Electron-Photon Barrier Using FPGA technology
Combining photonic computational power with electronic data distribution
As the computational world is moving towards the tera-hertz clock boundary, the processing of data in the photonic domain becomes more and more feasible. TOPIC Embedded Systems collaborates with Optalysys, a specialist in Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) using photonic processing technology, to create an advanced, quantum-resilient cryptography application. The vast amounts of data that are processed by the FHE engine puts high demands on the applied AMD FPGA technology and especially the RFSOC infrastructure and the GTM transceivers.
This presentation will address the complexity of the physical domain crossing, why this technology is very relevant and how the FPGA interfaces and fabric are being pushed to their limits to make the data flow as required.
